Wireless USB has finally arrived. From this post at GigaOm, I can't stop wondering how things are going to change once wireless USB is as widely available as the current wired version.

For one, we can free ourselves of some of the wires we have been lugging around till now - connectors for camera, cellphone, etc. Moreover, there isn't a need to worry about the number of USB ports in your laptop anymore. I'm assuming the wireless USB will incorporate the possibility of multiple connections. If the connections are to be limited, hopefully they'll be limited at a figure over 10.

Don't expect every USB device to go wireless though. The ones that need to draw power from the USB will still need to be connected, or they would need to carry batteries (and will be heavier).
